About Us
Welcome to Our Family-Oriented Martial Arts School!
From age 4 to 70+, our students learn more than just martial arts. We focus on building confidence, discipline, and respect—life skills that last a lifetime.
In addition to self-defense, bullying prevention, and martial arts fundamentals, we help our students grow into strong, respectful, and empowered individuals.

Martial Arts Instructors
All instructors with the ATA are highly trained, reliable professionals who follow the Songahm Taekwondo curriculum. Our program develops students both physically and mentally, teaching valuable life skills such as honesty, discipline, respect, courtesy, self-esteem, and effective communication.
In addition to our primary black belt instructors, we have junior instructors who are progressing toward full instructor certification. They assist lead instructors and often guide our Tigers classes. This structure offers students the benefit of experienced leadership along with relatable role models—junior instructors who are typically just 5–10 years older. Seeing someone closer to their age in a leadership position is especially motivating for younger students. At New Ulm ATA, training goals extend far beyond the color of your belt!
